CHANDELIER. Switzerland, December 1992.
3333 collectors went on a boat trip to become owners of the ’92 Christmas Special. On Sunday morning in Luzern 5000 people were waiting in line to buy one of the 3333 tickets. The lucky winners could board one of three ships that would take them to their destination and main attraction: the glass company Roberto Niederer, who manufactured the plates of the “Chandeliers”. There, the passenger collectors each received a wooden box that contained the Christmas special. For the losing collectors there was still a small possibillity to get the special at one of the 22 Swatch dealers that together had another 2000 specials for sale. It took less than 30 minutes to sell those specials out.(via Squiggly)

GS138 / RISE UP. Just a quick shot to show how the delicious blue dripping off of the Rise Up looks just as good (if not better) in “real life” as it does in the product shots. -Staff

If you purchase two or more Colour Codes from a Swatch Store then you will receive this attractively packaged selection of seven [watch] face protectors. Whether you’re aiming to accent one of the matte watches or compliment (/clash up) one of your shinier watches, there’s a lot different ways you can go with it straight out of the box. It’s also worth remembering that there’s the underlying functional aspect of your Swatches’ faces not copping a beating when you flail an arm mid-doorway.-Staff

GZ216. One of the highlights of the recently released Colour Codes collection is Carri Munden AKA cassetteplaya’s contribution to the Artist Collection: Fluo. The ever-shredding London designette has graced the Swatch Gent with a striking glow-in-the-dark colourway that manages fluoro without merely retreading prior brand territory/designs. The fluorescent green gives way to a dark blue, a definite and refreshing departure from the oft-considered choices of black or another brash neon. Fixed to the novel (and mindwrecking) 24-hour movement are two floating yellow triangles, giving the watch an overall 5am space tropicalypse feel. This one is limited to 1,111 pieces so get it while you can.-Staff
